• AlKhalidi: The initiatives of the Ministry of Labor give the business sector greater opportunities for growth through its role in providing employment opportunities for citizens

    ​The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, praised the new initiatives announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development on Monday, 1 October 2018, where 68 initiatives were announced for individuals and enterprises to stimulate the business sector to expand Saudization and raise the participation rates of national labor forces in the labor market.

    "It is balanced, clear and comprehensive of all components of the production process and in line with the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 that to let the business sector to become the largest generator of sustainable jobs in the Kingdom."

    He thanked the Minister of Labor, HE Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, for his great efforts in serving the business sector.

     

    Al-Khalidi stressed that the 33 initiatives related to enterprises will facilitate business and improve services, as well as accelerate the pace of the procedures and contribute significantly to activate the concepts of communication and interdependence between the business sector in different areas on the one hand and the Ministry on the other hand.

    The 20 initiatives aimed for individuals will have a significant impact in facilitating employment and increasing training opportunities and the dissemination of labor culture to the realization of a conscious labor market that preserves the rights of workers and employers.

     

    Al-Khalidi also said that the 15 joint initiatives between individuals, enterprises, interested groups and partners support entrepreneurs from small and medium enterprises as well as working women through launching a unified organization responsible for organizing the work environment, in addition to supporting professional excellence and the development of contractual relationship and improve the procedures for the final exit and exit and return procedures.

     

    Al-Khalidi thinks that the collection of initiatives, especially those aimed at enterprises, includes initiatives related to visas, their validity and grace periods in the program, the immediate impact of Saudization, professional domains, settlement of violations and other initiatives to organize work regulations, undoubtedly gives the business sector greater opportunities for improvement and in turn will provide more serious job opportunities for citizens.

    This would support entrepreneurship and launch it according to standard levels and at the same time increase the competitiveness of the labor market in various fields.

     

    AlKhalidi said that what has been achieved during the past period in terms of decisions and actions and the launch of programs and initiatives has had the greatest impact on fundamental changes that have been positively reflected not only on private sector institutions and their gains, but on the national economy as a whole.

    He expressed his hope that these initiatives will achieve their desired objectives in increasing employment opportunities for the national labor forces.​
